The official launch of the Friends of Mortimer Forest, with a talk from our patron Sir Jonathon Porritt (11.09.21)

Forget the Global if we can't secure the Local, the presentation by our patron Sir Jonathon Porritt. Over 350 people came to the event, St Laurence's church was full. You can watch the talk in full via the link above.

The launch of the charity was well attended, with patrons (Rhoderick Swire, second from right), friends and guests in attendance.

A BBQ of venison sausages was a popular choice for the weekend of the Ludlow Food Festival, and a sustainable choice.

A short film (displayed within the 'about us' tab on this website) was played at the start of the event. The film showed information about the forest's rich history and abundant wildlife.

Trustee Robert Owen gave a vote of thanks at the close of the event.

Thank you to everyone who signed up to become a Friend of Mortimer Forest, and to all who generously donated to the charity.
